Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Your postcards belong to you. Maeum Post edits and stores your photos and words on your device, with no account, advertising, tracking, or operator cloud sync.

1. About this policy

Hodgepodge Studio operates Maeum Post, an iPhone and Android app for creating digital postcards and one-line notes. This policy applies to Maeum Post version 1.0.0. It does not describe the studio’s games or their advertising and online services.

2. What stays on your device

Postcard and note text, handwritten signatures, layout settings, and copies of photos you choose to import are stored in the app’s local storage. When you import a photo, the app reads only the date it was taken to fill in the card’s date; location and other photo metadata are not kept in the copy. Editing, the photo analysis behind design suggestions, and image and video export all happen on your device. The app does not automatically send this content to us, and it includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The app has no account or operator-provided cloud sync. Depending on your settings, app data may be included in device backups: iOS or iCloud backups on iPhone, or Google account backup on Android. Those backups are managed by Apple or Google, not by Hodgepodge Studio.

3. Photos, camera, and sharing

The system photo picker lets you choose photos to import, with no permission required. On iPhone, camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photo, and permission to add images to Photos is requested when you save a completed postcard there; you can change these permissions in iOS Settings. On Android, the app requests no permissions at all: taking a photo opens the system camera app, and saving to the gallery needs no permission.

Sharing opens the system share sheet and sends the exported file only to the destination you choose. Copies saved to Photos (iPhone) or the gallery app (Android), shared with other people, or sent to other apps are managed separately by you and those services. The app does not provide physical mailing.

4. Deleting your work

You can delete saved postcards and notes using their in-app menus. Deleting an item removes that record, but a source-photo file copied by the app may remain in local app storage until you delete the app and its data. On iPhone, offloading the app is not the same as deleting its data.

Exported images in Photos (iPhone), the gallery app (Android), other apps, and backups are not deleted when you delete an in-app record. Manage those copies separately in the relevant app or backup settings. We do not have a server copy from which to restore your work.

5. Purchases and support messages

Maeum Post is a paid download with no subscription or in-app purchases in version 1.0.0. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone, or by Google through Google Play on Android, each under its own policies. The app does not receive your card or bank details.

If you email support, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include, such as a message, device details, or an attachment. We use it to answer your request and resolve issues, not for advertising. Our email provider processes the correspondence to deliver and store it. We retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations; you can contact us to request deletion.

6. This website and third-party services

The app’s policy and help screens display bundled content without an internet connection or opening a browser. If you separately visit our website, web hosting providers may process technical information needed to serve a page, such as an IP address and request information. Email providers process information needed to deliver messages you choose to send. These policy pages contain no analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking cookies added by us. Apple, Google, your backup service, and the apps you share to apply their own policies.

7. Your choices and policy changes

You can edit or delete your local work, revoke permissions, and choose whether to share or back up files. For support correspondence or privacy requests, contact support@hodgepodge.studio. We do not sell personal information or use postcard content for advertising.

We will publish changes on this page and update the date above. If a future version adds accounts, online storage, analytics, or other data processing, this policy and any required notices will be updated before those features are introduced.
